Yes! Have we not all seen Terminator or Star Wars?
Beware those crafty robots and their plots of doom!
Ciphers and Codes are awesome examples of Computer Science in action.
This article is a great real life example.
Astronauts are already cool and now they have suits with built-in laptops and iPods.
Where do you sign up to be an astronaut?
I am going to see if these suits are on eBay.
This article is also another great example of Science and Computer Science working together.
Professor Working to Advance CS as a Science
“The problem with computer science is that a few people think it equals programming. It’s the same as someone thinking that all of mathematics is algebra,” said Snodgrass, the principal investigator on the grant. “But that doesn’t emphasize the great ideas behind computer science, and that’s what we want to bring out in this grant.”
I agree 100% with this quote from the article.
I love to write code, but computer science is way more than just programming.
Alice 3.0 is moving along.
I used Alice 3.0 in my AP CS classes last year and plan to use it again this year.
Alice 3.0 does a great job of helping students visualize arrays and for each loops.
This is pretty interesting.
