I had a chance to see this live in the spring and it was very impressive.

SmallBasic – an update of a classic

I have this on my laptop and my 8 year old really likes making the turtle do tricks.
He also really enjoys writing code in Scratch and Alice.
I am not on the Microsoft payroll – it just happened that I thought to post about two MS products today.

“This workshop will convene K-12 teachers who work with under-represented populations of students at the 2009 Grace Hopper Celebration …

Each participant will receive travel funding, hotel accommodations and free registration to attend the Grace Hopper Conference and this Workshop. Applications to attend this Workshop are online here.

Deadline to complete the application is September 14th. Decisions will be completed by September 21st, 2009
